What is a visa or stay extension?
Simple answer
An extension is permission to stay longer than your current pass or visa allows, granted only when that destination’s rules offer an extension route and approve your request.
What it means
Extensions are usually discretionary. Staying while hoping for an extension is risky if your current permission has already ended.
What you may need to do
Apply before your current stay expires, using the official channel. Keep evidence the extension product asks for.
Country / visa warning
Not every visa is extendable. Processes differ by country and pass type.
Next action
Check whether your product lists an extension path before your stay end date approaches.
