Will I need biometrics or an interview?
Simple answer
Possibly. Biometrics (fingerprints, photo) and interviews are required for some nationalities and visa types, and not for others. Arrival processes can also collect biometrics separately from the visa application.
What it means
Biometrics help authorities confirm identity. An interview (when used) is usually to check purpose of stay and supporting documents. Neither guarantees approval.
What you may need to do
Read whether your product and nationality need a biometrics appointment. Bring the documents listed for that appointment. Answer interview questions truthfully and consistently with your file.
Country / visa warning
Singapore and other destinations may collect biometrics at the checkpoint even when no visa interview was required. Treat application biometrics and arrival biometrics as separate steps when both exist.
Next action
Check your route’s process notes for biometrics/interview. Approval is never guaranteed even after you attend.
