- What you need to show
- You need a lawful place to live and a stable income to support yourself in Viet Nam. Scientists and experts must be proposed by the minister or head of the government agency for their field.

- If you apply as the family member of a Vietnamese citizen, your Vietnamese parent, spouse or child who lives permanently in Viet Nam must sponsor you with a sponsorship letter.
