The LĐ1 / LĐ2 visa is issued to foreign nationals who work in Vietnam: LĐ1 where a work permit is not required and this has been confirmed, LĐ2 where a work permit is required. It is valid for up to 2 years. Holders can apply for a temporary residence card with the same symbol, valid for up to 2 years. A spouse and children under 18 can come on a TT visa. A sponsoring organisation in Vietnam applies to the Immigration Department or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
