The ĐT1–ĐT4 visa is issued to foreign nationals who invest in Vietnam or represent a foreign investor, banded by the size of the investment. It is valid for up to 5 years for the largest bands (ĐT1, ĐT2), 3 years for ĐT3 and 1 year for ĐT4. Holders can apply for a temporary residence card with the same symbol, valid for up to 10 years for ĐT1. A spouse and children under 18 can come on a TT visa. A sponsoring organisation in Vietnam applies to the Immigration Department or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
