The SMART visa from Thailand's Board of Investment is for founders of certified technology startups in targeted industries (SMART S). It gives a renewable visa of up to 2 years, permission to work in the certified business without a separate work permit, 1-year reporting instead of 90-day reporting, and no re-entry permit. A spouse and children can join on a SMART O visa for the same period, and the spouse can work.
