The Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa from Thailand's Board of Investment is for four groups: wealthy global citizens, wealthy pensioners, work-from-Thailand professionals and highly skilled professionals. It is granted for 5 years and can be renewed for 5 more if you still qualify. Holders get a digital work permit, 1-year reporting instead of 90-day reporting, a multiple re-entry permit, airport fast track and, for highly skilled professionals, a 17% personal income tax rate. Spouses and children can apply as dependants. Every requirement must be kept for the life of the visa.
