I got a visa, then a new passport — what now?
Simple answer
Keep both passports (or follow the destination’s published transfer process). A visa or pass linked to an old passport number is not always automatically moved to the new book.
What it means
Some authorities ask you to travel with old and new passports together; others have an e-visa re-issue or transfer form; others endorse the new passport. The correct step depends on how the visa was issued (sticker, eVisa, pass).
What you may need to do
Read the issuing authority’s guidance for “new passport after visa granted”. Do not discard the old passport if it still holds a valid vignette or reference.
Country / visa warning
Electronic visas and physical stickers are handled differently. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia each publish their own processes.
Next action
Look up the issuing authority’s “change of passport” or transfer instructions for your product, or raise it on your SojournHub application messages if you have an active case.
